​Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse

Harbor of Refuge is the second of our lighthouses. It stands out farther in the ocean and has seen much wear as is evidenced by the rust stained exterior. In recent years it has undergone a major renovation and now welcomes visitors.

​Delaware Breakwater Lighthouse

​At our beaches we have 2 lighthouses. On a beautiful October day when the tide was out, my husband and I were able to wade fairly close to the Breakwater Lighthouse to take this photograph. It’s the first time I’d painted this lighthouse and was delighted by the great contrast of the blue sky and ocean against the red of the structure. It lent itself to a very pleasing setting. Overfalls

​In addition to our 2 lighthouses we also have a floating lighthouse that is no longer in use. The Overfalls is a bright red ship that is docked in Lewes, Delaware and available for tours.

Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse (Miniature)
